About Us:
As an introduction, we have been engaged in business process excellence implementation with corporations and institutions on a worldwide basis. (www.6sigmau.com)
We have now extended the application of this methodology into the public transportation space in India which turns out to be a major consumer of fossil based fuels. As six sigma consultants anything that is idle is an inventory for us
We always used to wonder why we are being charged so much even for longer and also for smaller distances. Autos always have a scary story other than a couple of them. Public transport is bursting and is not sufficient and efficient to cater to the .always growing needs of our people. |

Most of the time cars which drop people from the airport to the city always come back empty, and while going to pick them up ,they go empty. Same is the case if you hire a car and go out of town, either you come back in the same car or you have to pay for the return trip of the car even if you are not traveling.
Also every time when i take my car or book a tourist cab to get to airport to catch a flight in the morning, I used to see a couple of people know to me who are from the same neighbor hood reach the airport in different vehicles to catch their flights in the morning and we used to tell each other,if I had known earlier that you were also heading to the airport we could have come together, vice versa while returning, used to see people booking cars from the prepaid guys to go to the same area.
This made us think and we thought of an idea where people could connect and share their drive not only in city bit also while going out of city, which had the potential to significantly reduce pollution, traffic and travel costs.
Recently in Economic times paper dated 23-1-2009,it was mentioned that "Corporate passengers landing late night or early morning find a flight pool cheaper than using cars.
Even for two wheelers we have used this concept.. People having two wheelers find it hard to make their end meet, in this present conditions where recession, coupled with salary cuts and food and other prices raising.
There were arguments that Car pooling was already there and it has never been successful. So we analyzes and came out with the following reasons to why it was not successful.
1.No Monetary benefits for people sharing the car / bike.
2.Possible only if people work in the same company and in the same area.
3.Security issues.
4.Time constraints.
5.An imaginary feeling that it hurts one's pride.
Another reasons was that the tourist hiring car companies were very localized and highly fragmented and the ones which are established all over is very expensive. So we wanted to be the one stop solution for hiring cars across India which will give good service at cheaper rates.
Share drive is an initiative which helps in reducing pollution, road traffic and also transportation costs.
Hariharan Ganesan is also on board a company which is into placement and HR services.(
